This is such an adorable Valentine’s Day craft, and another one that makes a great gift ! See it in my post about gift ideas here. This can be done with any number of children just by how many of their feet you use, and how many times. Click here to see more Valentine’s Day crafts.
Center of Our Hearts Valentine’s Day Craft
I would definitely recommend planning this one out first, so you know how the feet need to lay. You don’t want to get to foot #8 and have it mess up the whole thing! Pour some washable paint in a tray, and have the child step in it, then lift up. Use a paintbrush to get any spots you missed. this can actually get a little tricky, so make sure they have something to hold onto. They can also do this from a sitting position, just make sure the foot goes flat. Have them step on with the right foot facing left and left foot facing right, overlapping at the bottom.
This where you learn how high your kid’s arches actually are! Use your paintbrush to smear the paint and fill in the arch area. Have an older child (or do yourself) make a stem. When dry, cut out a circle of craft or construction paper, and write “Always at the center of our hearts” (“my” if one kid, obviously). Glue to center of flower. Frame and done!
